I had a water pump failure on a 2013 Toyota Highlander. Economy Auto Service had been recommended to us and we had them work on our car before for a minor fix/verification and I was very satisfied then. This was major and a lot more complicated though. After getting our initial estimate, my fiancée and I weighed whether it was worth it to fix it or get a new car. We decided to go ahead and get the new water pump installed. About a week later, we got the unexpectedly early call that the work was finished and the price was 67% lower than the original estimate. The car works great now and we will definitely be bringing our car back in the future. Travis and Brian are great to work with. I cannot recommend Economy Auto Service highly enough. These guys are great! 10/21/25 Update: Since my original review, we have had two more cars serviced here. Nothing but outstanding, professional service and pricing. These guys are my first choice. If we ever are considering purchasing a car, we will let the professionals at Economy Auto Service in Mechanic Falls check it out first.

First Travis and the fellas swapped out my transmission. That has been great. 2 weeks later I lost my water pump. They got it in fairly quick. They also recommended changing a cross over tube assembly. Price was fair and job was done quick.

While the news I received was not what I wanted to hear. I i have to say the service was outstanding, incredibly thorough. Letting me know, the diagnosis the possible repairs, what it could cost and options I loved this thoroughness, when I said that I did not understand he explained it to me easily and I cannot say enough about what quality service and treatment I've received from economy auto service, I would HIGHLY recommend them

Ever time I come in the tell me a is wrong and always ends up being 10000 additional things wrong came in for one thing and $10,000 later even when they tell you something is wrong they do another inspection and find $4k more work needing to be done after

They were beyond kind and extremely understanding of a difficult situation we were in and did everything they could to help us get out car back as ASAP and worked with us on pricing. I will never bring our cars anywhere else from now on. They are organized, beyond, courteous, helpful and honest.

Prompt with return call to get us in. Our car needed a timing chain. Quick with doing a diagnosistic test and scheduling our appointment. They send you a link you can use to send messages and check on the work being done to the car. Fair prices and above and beyond customer service. I would highly recommend them. This will be our go to garage from now on.

Travis gave an honest and thorough summary of labor and parts required to change out my timing belt. The mechanics did a great job. Communication was stellar as well and updates were always given. Will be heading back to Economy Auto for any future auto work.

I took my car in with a bunch of stuff wrong with it, and they helped me sooo much and were super helpful and dealt with my warranty company which was not easy. They ended up helping me out with the cost and they were super knowledgeable and fair with everything. Also, super nice and caring people at that shop. Would definitely recommend and go again if I needed anything!

I’ve brought my vehicle to Economy Auto Service on three different occasions. I’ve been very pleased every time. They say what they are going to do and they do what they say. Kris and Kirk have worked on my vehicle, Travis and Brian have scheduled and given me estimates. All 4 have been professional and polite. The shop and parking lot is clean. Brian has assembled a great team. It’s a pleasure dealing with them.

I've been going to this shop for quite a while and have never left disappointed. They are very up front about pricing and extremely trust worthy. Not to mention the quality of work is outstanding. It didn't matter what my issues have been thru always get me in and test me like a very valued customer and always take care of the problem quickly. I highly recommend!!

Friendly staff. Went for a sticker. Had to fix a couple things. Went for a recheck. Easy hassle free. Definitely worth checking into for your repairs stickers or even a new car 🚗 😀

Evidently grabbed the painted door handle with the key in their hand gouge gouge on my other vehicle they dropped the removed part into the fan shroud and did not retrieve it which prompted a return trip a week later to find out what the noise was ended up being at no charge but was inconvenient for the extra trip in the ride from in to the appointment the owner Brian was great seems to be the help that's an issue

I have been a auto mechanic most of my life.... I am 74 and no longer able to fix what I used to. Brian and his crew have done excellent work on my trucks, etc. for the past 10+ years and I know good service and good mechanics when I see them.. these guys are great and should be trusted by anyone. No b.s. just good work.
